I attended the grade seven leaving ceremony at James Ardiel Elementary in my riding of Surrey-Whalley today. It’s special to my family: our two sons Daniel and Martin attended the school from kindergarten to grade seven. It’s one of many excellent public schools in BC and it’s always inspiring to hear the stories and aspirations of the grade sevens as they prepare for the next step in their lives.
I attended the grade 7 and 8 graduation ceremony of Iqra Islamic School in North Surrey this afternoon. The school community is warm and welcoming and its graduates are well prepared for our collective future. Congratulations and thanks to principal Dr Faisal Ali as he leaves after seven years of service to take another big assignment.

I enjoyed visiting the Grade 7 students at James Ardiel Elementary. The students in Mrs. While’s class and in Mrs. Nazarchuk’s class impressed me with how much they already knew about government! 01/26/16
