Last April 14 Bruce was once again invited to throw out the first pitch for Whalley Little League 2018.  The event was initially launched back in 1956 and is part of Surrey’s cultural heritage giving opportunities to children aged between 4 and 18 years old to take part in the community’s sporting life.

Results of the hard work of long term volunteers the Whalley Little League aims to empower new generations through the practice of baseball reinforcing “Loyaly, Character and Courage” as its main foundations. Through the decades Whalley became synonymous of excellence and tradition, having produced some of Canada’s finest baseball players and represented the country at the Little League World Series several times in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
