New Democrats welcome Fiji Prime Minister Josaia Voreqe “Frank” Bainimarama

Fiji Prime Minister Josaia Voreqe “Frank” Bainimarama with NDP Leader John Horgan at the B.C. Legislature in Victoria on Thursday.

Victoria – Fiji Prime Minister Josaia Voreqe “Frank” Bainimarama visited the British Columbia Legislature in Victoria on Thursday and met with New Democrat Leader John Horgan, MLAs Sue Hammell, Bruce Ralston and Harry Bains.

Bainimarama is on an official visit and will be attending events hosted by the Fijian community in Surrey this weekend. This historic visit is the first by a Fijian prime minister.

He will be a guest and the keynote speaker at the Surrey Board of Trade on Friday for a special luncheon with Surrey’s business community.

Bainimarama and his wife, Maria, will attend the Miss Fiji Canada Beauty Pageant and Red Carpet Charity Gala at the Royal King Palace as guests of honor on Friday
